THE GARDEN COMMUNITY NETWORK
PRESS GET INVOLVED

God's Vineyard is known throughout New Orleans for it's community meals and it's Seven Pepper Hot Sauce. Before Hurricane Katrina, the organization hosted community dinners that included Red Beans and Rice and fresh vegetables harvested from the community garden. New Orleans residents would line up every week to visit with each other and enjoy the community meals on Felicity Street.

Katrina has created new challenges for God's Vineyard. It has become more difficult to nourish the community from one location now that residents are spread throughout New Orleans as a result of the housing problems caused by flooding.

God's Vineyard is addressing this problem by raising money for a van to help transport food directly to residents. We hope to purchase the van with funds from donations and sales of the hot sauce.

St. Thomas Seven Pepper Hot Sauce

God's Vineyard Seven Pepper Hot Sauce is filled with the colors, flavors and heat from seven different chopped peppers—a true representation of New Orleans' cultural diversity and climate.

The sauce hits you with heat pretty heavy - that's the habanero --- but the other fresh chopped peppers make the sauce chunky and fruity at the same time. It goes best on pizza, gyros, hot wings and anything fried. Add it to batter for extra flavor for your fried foods.

Unlike most commercial hot sauces, The Seven Pepper Hot Sauce doesn't have unnatural preservatives. It's strictly peppers, salt and vinegar.
